Kind of Blue is a concert program about the life and music of Miles Davis - a blend of storytelling and jazz performance.

Through his jazz piano concert series featured in the Chicago Tribune, Illinois Humanities Council Road Scholar Speaker and Harvard graduate, José Sandoval, presents a musical performance program about the iconic life of Miles Davis and one of the greatest jazz albums of all time.

When jazz trumpeter, Miles Davis, released the album, Kind of Blue, in 1959, he redefined jazz and influenced every genre of music for generations to come. Thank you to the Rolling Meadows Library, the Friends of the Library, and everyone who attended for having our trio for the Arts Alive Concert Series. We made some new friends and I was thrilled by who showed up! Everyone seemed to have a special place for jazz and music in their hearts. It was a real honor to play on such a beautiful day.  The Rolling Meadows Library's piano is in superb condition and the tuning was spot on - a special thank you for that!

The trio sounded great thanks to my friends Frank Alongi (drums) & Alex Feldman (bass).
